Take a virtual tour of Art + Practice’s exhibition ‘Collective Constellation’

Los Angeles gallery Art + Practice has flung open its doors for virtual visitors, taking its exhibition of work by Black artists into the digital realm.
The organisation’s 20,000 sq ft campus in Leimert Park is hosting Collective Constellation: Selections from The Eileen Harris Norton Collection until January 2021. The exhibition brings together a range of work made by women of colour, including Shirin Neshat, Betye Saar, Doris Salcedo, Amy Sherald, Lorna Simpson, Carrie Mae Weems and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye.

Artworks span sculpture, printmaking and photography as well as paintings, video, and installation pieces, all of which can be explored online. Virtual visitors can wander the gallery space with the help of a series of pink markers, that guide them from piece to piece, as well as sharing key information – making for a more intuitive experience than many other virtual gallery tours.
Art+Practice was set up in 2014, by artist Mark Bradford, philanthropist and collector Eileen Harris and social activist Allan Di Castro. The gallery offers free access to museum-curated exhibitions of work by Black artists as well as public event space, and a programme to support local foster youth.
